Tea 101 (Murfreesboro)
Details + RSVP Here!
Join us for a special tea tasting as we dive into the world of teas... Tea 101 at Music City Tea!
ABOUT from web:
Tea tasting is a great way to learn more about fine teas while also experiencing a bit of the tea culture from another country and having fun with your friends. In much the same way that a wine tasting can be a great introduction to new wines as well as a lot of fun, a tea tasting is an enjoyable blend of entertainment and education.
Jinlan (Jenny) is our Chinese tea expert and shop owner. Jenny comes from the area around Wuyishan in Fujian Province in China. Fujian Province is a source of green, white, black, and oolong tea - no other province in China provides four of the major varieties of tea. She had her own tea shop in China and her family is involved in all aspects of growing and manufacturing tea. Jenny specializes in giving tea tastings and, especially, gong fu tea ceremonies. No one we know brings more passion and joy to educating others in how to enjoy tea in the Chinese way. Jenny's family has been growing oolong and black tea for over three generations.

ABOUT:
Founder and restaurateur Shane Nasby named the restaurant in honor of his late grandpa, Cledis Nolen, who owned and operated the Midway Cafe in Charlottesville, Indiana throughout Shane’s childhood. Inspired by his memories of growing up in a small town, Shane designed Cledis as an homage to a slower and simpler time when sharing a meal at a local restaurant was a way for neighbors to stay connected with one another.
Shane also hopes to carry on his grandpa’s legacy of unwavering kindness and generosity. Going beyond serving great food, Cledis is on a mission to combat hunger and hopelessness in our city. We proudly partner with People Loving Nashville and give our time and resources toward their programs which offer relief, relationship, and restoration for our hungry and unhoused neighbors.

ABOUT:
Chef Egidio (Egi) Franciosa was born in a sea side city just outside Naples, Italy where food is a celebration of life, family, and friendship. Egi and Jannah met in Europe and returned to the U.S. in 2010. By 2017, Il Forno's mobile Neapolitan pizzeria was born. As the family food truck received an abundance of praise from devoted regulars, it also inspired their dream to build a restaurant where the Neapolitan love of people and fresh food are served side by side. The Franciosa family is passionate about bringing a taste of Naples to Nashville, Tennessee. Buon Appetito!

Dining Around Town: Barcelona Wine Bar (Tapas)
Details + RSVP Here!
This month our Dining around Town series takes us to Barcelona Wine Bar (Tapas) for dinner!
RESERVATION NOTE:
I have made a reservation for a party of 8 at 6pm.
COST:
Whatever you order.
ABOUT from web:
Barcelona Restaurant and Wine Bar is an award-winning Spanish tapas restaurant group. Barcelona was begun in 1995 by Sasa Mahr-Batuz, based on his memories of years of living in Spain and Portugal, and Andy Pforzheimer, based on his 20 years as a chef at world-famous restaurants in France, California and New York.
Beginning with a tiny, 38-seat wine bar they set out to recreate the feel and the look of an evening in Barcelona. They worked hard and made no compromises to achieve their aims: sophisticated décor that evoked Milan, SoHo, or Rio de Janeiro. Simple, flavor-filled dishes redolent with olive oil, lemon, smoky paprika. A comprehensive list of wines by the glass from around the world, with an emphasis on the lesser-known regions of Spain and Portugal. They were guided not by any places that existed at the time, but only by what they liked, and the way they liked it.

ABOUT from web:
Riverview Restaurant & Marina was established in 1956. It began as a one room shack that sold hot dogs, burgers and cold drinks on the weekends. As the place grew more popular, another room was added to accommodate seating. Over the years, more additions were made to the building and dock as the need arose. Overlooking the Cumberland River, it became a popular riverfront dining destination. In May 2010, one of the worst floods in Middle Tennessee history destroyed the building. After over a year, Riverview Restaurant & Marina reopened on May 25, 2011. The beautiful new restaurant features indoor and outdoor waterfront seating in a relaxing atmosphere, along with the friendly service and great food that has been the heart all along.
