Books & Banter @ Homegrown Taproom (MJ)

Details + RSVP Here!

Many of you have requested a kind of silent reading event where you're able to get some reading done and also connect with other readers.

Join us for another Books & Banter event at the Homegrown Taproom & Kitchen
in Mount Juliet!

ABOUT:
Homegrown opened in 2015 with a pretty simple idea: Donelson deserved a real neighborhood pub. Not a chain. Not a concept. Just a good room with good food, cold beer, and people who'd actually remember your name.
Female-owned and operated from day one, we built this place from the ground up — and we've kept it that way. That matters to us, but it's not the headline. The headline is the food. The taps. The regulars who've been coming in since our first week.
We're a family-owned restaurant in Nashville — the kind of place where strangers become regulars and regulars become family. If you're flying in through BNA or live two blocks away, you'll find the same welcome either way.

Whatever you buy.

You said... MORE BREAKFAST & BRUNCH DINING... we listened...
This month our Dining around Town series takes us to Nashville Jam Cafe in Berry Hill!

ABOUT from web:
The Baron's started by growing heirloom tomatoes and several varieties of peppers. As our garden grew, so did our supply of produce. We had more fruits and vegetables than we could possibly consume. We gave away an abundance, sold some at farmers markets and made jam and jelly out of the rest.
We started giving strawberry jalapeno jam, peach habanero jam and six pepper jelly away as gifts at Christmas. The response was overwhelming. We began selling jam and jelly at the Saturday market on the square in Murfreesboro TN. We started to build a local following and began selling at the West Nashville farmers market, Donelson farmers market and the Nashville farmers market. The Nashville Jam Company was born.

Theatre: East Nashville FB Page: The Musical

Details + RSVP Here!

One of the things we seek out for events is quintessential Nashville experiences and this is one of them! Let's check out ***East Nashville Facebook Page: The Musical ***as we also kick off another quintessential Nashville experience - Tomato Art Fest Weekend!

ABOUT from web:
East Nashville Facebook Page: The Musicalis back, bigger, weirder, and ready to roast the neighborhood with the strongest opinions about everything (including itself.)
Now in its fourth year, this partially-improvised musical sketch comedy celebration of East Nashville's most chaotic corner of the internet has become an unofficial Tomato Art Fest weekend tradition. The show is 90% new every year, built from real posts pulled from the Facebook page over the past twelve months, so even longtime fans see fresh material. After two sold-out nights at Riverside Revival in 2025, we're moving to Eastside Bowl in 2026, with surprise guest stars each night (TBA). You don't have to be in the group, or even live in East Nashville, to get the joke - everyone leaves having a great time. But if you live here, eat here, shop here, or have ever argued about where to get the best tacos, this one's especially for you. As one fan put it: "This show is a loveletter to our neighborhood and collective bullshit."
Onstage, off the rails, and absolutely iconic.

COST:
$31.44 (includes fees)
I've already purchased my ticket.

TIME:
Starts at 8:00 PM
Let's meet at 7:45 PM

ABOUT from web:
Meet your host, Chef Melody: I have been in the kitchen cooking for as long as I can remember. My father had a large collection of cookbooks, many of them from other countries. I would read every single word, like it was a novel, and then decide which recipes I could realistically make. When the opportunity presented itself for me to attend Boston University culinary program in my 30s, I jumped at the chance. After a year + working in Cooks Illustrated Test Kitchen, I knew I wanted to teach and share my love of cooking with others!

Come learn how to make Asian Style Dumplings! We will make three different fillings which varies per class but could be : a classic pork, cabbage ginger, a modern California Cuisine Chicken, Kale & Lemon, Spicy vegetable or Leftover Pot Roast Dumplings with Alabama White Dipping Sauce. I will provide all recipes including one for traditional pork, cabbage and ginger. We will use premade wrappers as well as making and rolling out fresh dumpling dough. I will show several ways to fold the dumplings as well as steaming and pan seared instructions. A fun hands-on yummy evening where each participant will get to taste their creations at the end of class and take home any leftovers to cook or freeze at home! Please review cancellation policy carefully before booking.
