Join us for our Calligraphy 101 with special host, member "Michael the Carpenter" at L&L Market!

DESCRIPTION from host:
What is writing? What is beautiful? Why do we feel like ours isn't? And most importantly: Does the East India Company still get to decide what is 'right'?

Come with a relaxed arm and hand and join us for a hands-on exploration of these questions. Together, we will cover world calligraphy styles, paper types, and writing instruments. Through a series exercises, we will dive into the biomechanics, psychology, historical context, and touch of subversions that are inseparable from calligraphy.

You will leave with practical tips and tricks to elevate your personal handwriting journey - along with a custom-curated kit of paper, tools, and practice aids to continue your journey, no matter what path you wish to take.
